We recently hosted an amazing Google+ Hangout with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, the stars of ABCD2, along with Remo D’Souza, the director and choreographer of the film. Not only did the three get to speak to all the fans who had dialed in to ask their questions directly, but they also got all your questions and messages from Twitter! Throughout the chat, we learned a bunch of fun stuff about them – and the film – and we couldn’t resist sharing them with you in case you missed the Hangout while it was happening LIVE. HIGHLIGHTS:
1. Varun Dhawan’s the naughtiest on sets!
Although Varun would like you to believe that Shraddha is the naughtiest person on sets, both Remo and Shraddha agree that it is, in fact, Varun. Remo actually told us that if Varun wants something, he’ll go through Shraddha – “If he wants to go home early, he’ll say, ‘Remo sir, Shraddha has to say something! Oh, Shraddha, you don’t want to say it? Shraddha wants to go home early!’”
2. Varun Dhawan can’t “fake it”
Varun was asked how he stays humble despite achieving success. According to him, he works with great, talented people who are humble – and that keeps him humble. “You can’t fake it. It’s just about being normal and treating each and every person with the respect and dignity they deserve. We, as human beings, should respect this. There’s no point being arrogant.”
3. ABCD2 was made in 3D for audience involvement
Remo was asked why he decided to make ABCD2 a 3D film, and he said, “When the audience comes to the theatre, I want them to get involved in my script and film. When you wear 3D glasses, either you are in the film with the characters, or they are outside with you. So the involvement is why I made it a 3D film.” And then Varun revealed that a recent study showed that 3D films helps improve your brain activity!
4. Shraddha Kapoor’s going to kill it in this film
Varun Dhawan says: “Shraddha Kapoor is a never-before-seen avatar. She’s a patakha in the film! All the boys’ jaws are going to drop – and also the girls’.”
5. You’re gonna see Las Vegas like never before
We were told that ABCD2 will show Las Vegas like you’ve never seen it before – “what happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas, you can watch it in ABCD2!” It turns out they had a lot of fun in Vegas while not shooting, but they won’t say what went down there. Ahem!
6. The worst thing Varun Dhawan has ever been told
“Someone called me a waste of space. My mother.” *LOL*
7. You don’t have to watch ABCD to understand ABCD 2
The film takes the world ahead, but it’s not an extension. You’ll see some of the same faces – Dharmesh etc – as the previous film, but you won’t need to watch the first one to understand this one.
8. Varun Dhawan is an ace rapper
You gotta watch the Hangout to check this out! One of our dial-ins was celebrating his birthday on that day, and Varun Dhawan did the happy birthday rap for him. His day was made, and we were all suitably impressed.
