Shuddhi is really one of the most talked about projects ever. Karan Johar has really seen some casting woes with this one but all seems to be in place now. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have been picked to play the coveted parts but people are just not willing to forget that the part was originally offered to Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor. At a recent event, Alia was asked for a comment about replacing Bebo in KJo’s magnum opus and she said:
I don’t think it’s about replacing or anything at all in this situation. It’s just a film that I’m doing, that I’ve been cast for with a director and another actor, and there’s a producer involved. It’s very simple. I don’t want to say too much about it. Of course, there’s a lot that’s being said about the whole thing. And I want the visuals and all to come out for the people to see what the film is looking like, rather than me talking about it.
It’s not a surprise Alia is being asked such a question as she has always been seen as the next Kareena Kapoor. It’s truly a huge compliment, don’t you think?
