The jaw-dropping trailer of Brothers came out recently. The film has been directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar – who, as we all know, doesn’t venture into such rustic genres often. The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Jackie Shroff. With such a huge star cast, here are 5 facts you should know about the movie:

1) It’s not a movie about boxing/wrestling

Yes! To set the record straight, what we see in the movie is not boxing/wrestling – it’s called mixed martial arts. Akshay and Sidharth underwent vigorous training for 3 months to learn this technique!

2) Akshay Kumar’s drastic weight loss

The khiladi Kumar lost almost 14 kilos to look the way he does in the movie!

3) Sidharth Malhotra’s weight gain

On the other hand, KJo’s student had to gain 10 kilos in order to look his part.

4) No makeup for Jacqueline Fernandez

The usually glamorous Jacqueline has worn no makeup in the film. Karan Malhotra even confiscated her lip gloss so she wouldn’t wear it (and he still hasn’t given it back.) *LOL*

5) It’s an official remake of Warrior

It’s an official remake of the 2011 Hollywood film, Warrior. In fact, it has been co-produced by its original production house, Lionsgate.

The movie is slated to release on 14th August, 2015. Are you excited to watch these reel-life Brothers fight it out on the big screen?
