How did you come up with Mata Ka Email and did you know it’d be such a hit?
Arshad Warsi: The directer. He’s been hearing the song since he was a kid actually. Narender Chanchal is the Shah Rukh Khan of these dharmik songs. He has a song where the phone rings and he picks it up and goes ‘maa ka call’. So I guess the idea is that if mata can call in the times of landline, she can definitely email now.
What’s the weirdest email address you had growing up?
Amit Sadh: I called my self dynamite something dot com.
One fictional character you’d want to be Facebook friends with?
Aditi Rao Hydari: Dumbo the elephant.
If you could email one person in the past, who would you email and what would you say?
Arshad Warsi: Marilyn Monroe.. I would ask her out on a date. She is so hot!
What is the one character you’re dying to play?
Amit Sadh: I’d love to do some biopics.
Who cracks you up the most?
Arshad Warsi: This friend of mine, Amit Ashar. He has a terrific sense of humour. His mind works really fast and he’s really funny. Rajkumar Hirani is a really funny guy. Many others don’t have to funny, they just crack me up when I look at them.
The last movie you’d watched and you wished you’d done it?
Arshad Warsi: The last film I saw was Dil Dhadakne Do and there’s no particular character I’d like to play. But I really like Zoya Akhtar‘s sensibility as a filmmaker. Any film she does, I think it’s nice for any actor to be a part of it. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is all time favourite film, I’d love to be a part of that film.
What is the hatke thing about this movie?
Arshad Warsi: The hatke thing about Guddu Rangeela is the sensibility of the director.
Can you recall the craziest thing that happened on set?
Aditi Rao Hydari: This one day I wasn’t shooting and boys were. So I went to Amit’s room somehow and there was his laptop and his cycle… that he absolutely loves… and I picked it up and hid it in my room. When Amit returned to his room, there was complete mayhem! He screamed at everyone and threatened to shut down the hotel. It was really funny.
