You can attend Ultra, you can attend Sunburn, you can attend EDC, but you have not attended an EDM festival until you’ve attended Tomorrowland. With over 150,000 attendees, 20 live stages, and a line-up featuring the best DJs on the planet – Tomorrowland IS the place to be and be seen. I couldn’t get over the intense energy, the quixotic decor, and the sheer volume of people surrounding me! Think psychedelic carnival meets EDM. Hands down one of the most exciting and surreal experiences of my life!
The festival takes place in Boom, Belgium and is staged on a beautiful parkland surrounded by trees, hills, and lakes. The theme this year was “The Kingdom of Melodia” and the whole experience began from the moment I received my ticket!
That watch looking wristband was my key into the event. It’s fitted with a sensor and you wear it all day to not only get into the festival, but to buy food, drinks, and official merchandise. Yup, the entire weekend is cashless – load it up online and you’re good to go!
Although all the stages were another level of wow, the main stage was breathtaking! Built to resemble a medieval castle, it was fully equipped with waterfalls, fountains, laser shows, fog machines, confetti cannons – the works!
