Let me tell you something you may not know about me – I only own gold jewellery. I don’t know when I started putting my silver stuff in a corner but their days of being left out are over. In walked this tribal jewellery trend and out went my gold favourites. What I loved about the trend is that it was the only thing you needed to completely transform your outfit. If you ever feel like your look isn’t 100%, just throw on one of these and you’re set.

Things to remember when you’re wearing a tribal necklace…

1. Keep your neck as the focus, don’t go overboard with the rest of your outfit/jewellery.
2. While these would match with almost anything, a solid colour is the best way to get most out of the necklace.
3. There’s no rule against mixing gold and silver, just remember, if the silver is chunky, let the gold be very delicate and ‘barely-there’.

Of course, you can pick these up from the streets too, let BandraRoad help you with that, and don’t forget to send me a picture of how you style your necklaces!
