Vinod Kambli, whose claim to fame (at least for kids who didn’t follow cricket in the ’90’s) has been his appearance in Sach Ka Saamna where he blamed Sachin Tendulkar for mostly everything wrong in his life, has a lot to worry about. His domestic help has accused him and wife Andrea Kambli of torturing and locking her up because she asked for her salary. The girl, Soni, had been hired as a nanny for the couple’s two children and she has been working for them since two years. But, whenever she asked for her salary, both Vinod and Andrea would physically assault her and threaten to attack her in public. The last straw for the girl was when Vinod and Andrea locked her in the house for 10 days and left. On their return, she consumed phenyl to escape this hell hole. Scared that there would be a dead person in the house, Kambli and his wife finally let her go. Phew! Kambli and Andrea have denied all the charges, so nothing is official as of now, but man, a script writer must be busy at work somewhere.
