The Kash Girl
The Kash Girl

This week, I’m going mad for cape tops, as they have become the trend to be seen in. Well, who doesn’t want to be Superman’s first female cousin, right? This top emerging trend for the season was spotted on almost every single international runway in a rainbow of colour options to keep your spirits up. See how you can style this trend in two easy ways. You’ll be surprised at how versatile the cape can be in your daily mix.

For Brunch

A cape top is perfect for any occasion, and if you’re heading out to brunch this weekend, here’s the simplest way to style it. I opted for a meshed cape top (a little skin don’t hurt) and paired it with my fave ripped jeans and nude heels for brunch with my girls. Sometimes less is more and you can do away with the accessories to enhance your cape look.

For Dinner

For a modern play on the cape trend, let a sleek cape top like mine, double as your dinner date outfit. Who needs dresses? Unexpected additions, like a dream catcher earring(s) and ripped pants, give your look that immediate cool factor. Cool, right?!
