She is conquering it all – Priyanka Chopra is all set to become a household name in America with Quantico. And if you’ve been wondering how such a huge change came about in her professional life then we’ll fill you in. During an interview with Access Hollywood, she revealed:
It’s an interesting story. I met the VP of casting (ABC) who is Kelly Lee, at a common friend’s party and I left back for India to finish shooting. She met my manager and they started talking about me doing this. She flew to India while I was filming a movie, hung out with me on set, sold and talked to me and pitch doing TV here (in America).
I was a little skeptical, I’ll be honest, because it’s such a long commitment, so many years. I’m still doing the movies and I wanna be able to balance both. So she said, ‘just come, read the pilot, see how you feel.’ I read 26 pilots for this pilot season. Quantico was my favourite and so was the Muppets – but I was told Miss Piggy won’t allow anyone else on her show *laughs*. So, I went in for the audition – it worked for them, it worked for me and BAM! Here we are!
