Yeah, so… if you’re still wrapping your head around an on-point liner and flawless contouring, then I have news for you: it’s already time for onto the next one. Every season brings us mind-bending makeup & hair trends to create illusions, to achieve freedom, to transform into a Kardashian… basically, to blow your mind. A recent trend that’s very much here to stay is hair contouring.

Relax, it’s not as complicated as it sounds because it’s nothing you can achieve at home or DIY your way into. It’s got to be done by a professional, as it doesn’t even use foils. It’s a free-hand technique that looks more real. A professional colorist darkens or adds lowlights parts like the top of your head or below your cheekbones and highlights the hairs that fall near your cheekbones. It’s a lot like contouring because it gives your face a shape. Now, the only problem is… who to trust to do it right? Warning: do not try this with a stranger!
