The minute you think of a music festival, the first thing that comes to your mind is fringe! Fringe bags, fringe tops, dresses, jackets – all fringe errthing! But why just save them for the music? I’m extremely impatient with my clothes. When I buy something I make sure I have somewhere to wear it and if I don’t, I’ll create an outing. So since I picked this overly fringed jacket, I had to find a way to wear it outside of a festival. Turns out, it works like any other jacket. The rules of layering are practically the same when it comes to fringe – just don’t overdo it with the feathers and colours.

Wear it with your formal skirt

When in doubt – monochrome! It’s one of my staple looks and since I love the way tan and black go, I threw on the fringe jacket and wore it to the office. Works? I think so. Add some tan in the form of a skinny belt or shoes to match.

Add a single shot of colour

A solid colour paired with your fringe makes a great combination. Pick from bright blues and greens to mustards and oranges – just make sure it’s one colour and no, no prints please!

Do it with denims

If you wear it with shorts, it’s “festival”. Wear it with jeans and you’re good to go. A shirt will make it slightly formal and good enough to wear out to lunch.
