Shah Rukh Khan has many, many fans, but probably what’s the most incredible thing is that he gets love from women of all ages. Your grandmom probably loves SRK. Your mom loves SRK. You love SRK. You probably inculcate a love for SRK in your kids. Love for SRK is, in fact, something that transcends generations and it is quite an amazing thing to see. And while we all know that we love him for many different reasons, it’s sometimes difficult to pinpoint why exactly women gravitate towards him so much.
Well, we probably have the answer for you – and it came from none other than Shah Rukh himself! When asked about the love he gets from women, he laughed and said that when he was younger, no woman loved him. But it’s clearly different now! Here’s what he said:
I was sitting with friends the other day and I told them, ‘I know the secret to my romance. Why women like me so much.’ It’s because every woman I meet, whether she’s six years or sixty – I dignify her so much that she falls in love with me. I sing a lot of songs, I recite poems, I crack jokes, sometimes I misbehave a little too, I dance in Switzerland, I say weird things… but I think the only reason women like me – because it can’t be for my looks – is because I give them so much dignity. A woman needs only dignity. For me, love to a woman is dignifying her. And I think for a woman, also, she needs nothing – she does not need physical attachment (I may be wrong). She does not need any other value that a man gives a woman. A woman only needs to be dignified by her man. I try my best to dignify every lady that I meet. I think that’s romance. And that’s love.
