When we saw the teaser trailer of Fan, we were completely taken aback by Shah Rukh Khan‘s look in the film. SRK basically plays a double role – he is superstar Aryan Khanna (whose superstardom is based on SRK’s himself) and mega-fan Gaurav (who is crazy about Aryan).
Of course, even though Gaurav is imitating Aryan in the film, he still needs to look somewhat different – which is why the team used makeup and prosthetics to create Gaurav’s look. And we’ve gotta say, Gaurav looks adorable… but it’s still so odd seeing SRK like this!

We have yet to see Aryan’s proper look in the film. While a montage of SRK’s footage through the years was used in the teaser, Shah Rukh reveals that they’ve actually shot completely fresh scenes for the film – it’s not just old footage featuring him strung together.
He also says that the comparison is going to look good, so we can’t wait to see Aryan Khanna either!
