Anurag Basu opened up about the making of Jagga Jasoos and how casting a real life couple is more of a disadvantage than an advantage for a movie. Here’s what he said to DNA about making the film with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif –
Having a real-life couple is not an advantage but it is rather a disadvantage. The actors know each other so well and you are lovers in real-life, it gets difficult for them to bring their chemistry on the screen. So this is going to be very challenging.
When prodded over the apparent delay of the movie, Anurag denied any such rumour.
We have not shot the film. Ranbir is shooting Karan Johar’s film. I have only shot few days when he was free. Our film was always supposed to come after Bombay Velvet and Tamasha. When I started my film I knew this is going to be my schedule as Ranbir keeps a gap of six months. No actor would release two films in two months. This was the chronology that was to happen.
He also thinks that the speculation regarding the movie is a good sign as everyone will be interested in what Jagga Jasoos has to offer. Do you agree with Anurag though?
