Kartik Aaryan isn’t new to Bollywood. He made his big debut back in 2011 with Pyaar Ka Punchnama but it was the sequel of this movie that really put him on the map this year. His rant monologues from both the films have achieved cult status and his acting talent is receiving recognition too. It’s only a bonus then that he looks as good as he does.

1. He plays football and table tennis really well.
2. He likes to write stories. I can’t wait for one of them to be a Bollywood movie!
3. He is addicted to the Playstation. He used to bunk his classes to play games.
4. If he wasn’t an actor, he’d be a scientist at NASA. He was pursuing BTech in Biotechnology.
5. He was studying Engineering and struggling to become an actor simultaneously. His parents didn’t know about his secret ambition at the time. He got Pyaar Ka Punchnama in the third year of college.
6. He used to stay with 12 roommates in a 2BHK flat in Lokhandwala when he was shooting for his first film! All of them wanted to become actors but he didn’t tell them about his ambition until the trailer came out. He told them he was in Mumbai to complete his internship at Kokilaben.
7. He belongs to a completely non filmy background. His parents are doctors in Gwalior so his dream of becoming an actor seemed so unreal to him that he never even shared it with his family.
8. He called his mom as soon as he got his first film and broke down. That’s when he told his parents about his acting ambition for the first time.
9. He is a vegetarian and big time foodie!
10. He never expected Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 to do as well as it did. He knew they’d made a good film, but definitely didn’t think it would do better than the first one.
