OMG would you look at that! Major office envy is happening right now. The Phantom Films office has been voted the second most beautiful office in the world, and I don’t think we even need to tell you what a big deal that is. They competed with offices across the world, and came in at number two after beating even the likes of Google, Facebook, LinkedIn etc (and we know they have some pretty incredible offices themselves).

The brief given to us by ourselves was to create a creative hub and not a space, which is indicative of film production house. It needs to be chilled out, relaxed, simple yet a functional space.

The most interesting part? This was actually created on something of a budget!

The theme of the office was inspired from basic materials- metal, wood and cement as we had a restrictive budget. We created a combination of brickwork and syporex walls, used metal and wooden staircase and highlighted the two floors with different heritage floorings. The ceiling was either highlighted with mesh or a patch of egg box hollows. For the window framing metal was used.

The building was actually earlier a primary school, which means that they had to redesign the entire floor plan to incorporate meeting and edit rooms, offices for the directors and open spaces for the team.

There’s also this gorgeous chandelier (used to “create a bit of drama”) that’s actually a prop from Bombay Velvet:

Gorgeous!

The office was designed by Richa Bahl Design Studio.
