Have you been keeping up with Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi? Amitabh Bachchan makes us meet the real stars of India on the show – they are the unsung heroes who go above and beyond to help those in need. They have been working selflessly to make this world a better place.

Because we could all do with taking a page out of their book, I’m highlighting 5 of my favourite guests from this season of the show.

Take a look!

1. Dr Ganesh Rakh

Dr. Ganesh Rakh runs a Medicare Hospital Foundation Trust hospital in Pune’s Hadapsar area which he established in 2007. Ganesh supports the birth of a girl child and he doesn’t charge a single penny while assisting the birth of a baby girl. He has inspired a number of families to cherish and welcome a girl child.

2. Rajkumari Devi – Kisaan Chaachi

This 58-year-old mother of three is called Kisaan Chaachi because of her immense contribution to agriculture in a Bihar district. Not only has she lifted the standard of farming by giving tips and developing right agricultural practices, she has also helped more than 300 women gain employment and become financially independent.

3. Armstrong Pame

Zeme is from a small tribe of people in Nagaland. He is an IAS officer from there and he built a 100 km long motor-able road to connect a remote part of Manipur to Nagaland and Assam. The incredible part? He did it without any government help!

4. Parameswaran and Choodamini

Mr. Parameswaran and Choodamini were responsible for creating – Nambikkai – Hands of Hope an NGO which was established to combat the disasters created by the 2004 Tsunami which struck our country. The couple lost their children in the horrific disaster too, but instead of getting into depression, they embraced orphaned children who lost their families and raised them as their own. Today Nambikkai – Hands of Hope is a home to 37 children.

5. Saurabh Nimbkar

This 23-year old’s story is my absolute favourite! He plays the guitar and sings in the local trains. And whatever he earns from that, he donates it towards helping cancer patients. The idea came to his mind when his mother was diagnosed with acute leukemia, it is a type of blood cancer.

Don’t forget to catch the finale of Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi tonight at 8:00 pm and prepare to get truly inspired!
