I feel like high-waist pants are my answers to literally any style problem. Take my office shirt for instance. I customised this shirt from Bombay Shirt Company over a year ago and it was made solely for office purposes. But since I work in one of those rather cool workspaces, I don’t really need to be formal. So of course, the shirt needed a new reason to be and I decided to take it outside the office. You’d think a crisp white shirt like this one would be perfect for those office trousers or buttoned up under a blazer. But it can be used for SO much more. Here’s how I wear it.

1. With a maxi dress

Think of those days when you really want to wear your sleeveless or tube dress, but just haven’t had the chance to wax. Pop on your formal shirt and just tie it at the waist – unbuttoned. It provides the right amount of coverage, keeping it stylish at the same time.

2. With colourful prints

Your white shirt deserves to have it’s day in the sun. Take it out of your workspace and pair it tied up, but buttoned, with your high-waist printed trousers. You can do it with a long skirt too, just make sure you have fun with it. There isn’t much scope to go wrong with white.

3. With your sneakers

Sure you’re used to wearing it with those dull ballet flats, or even your muted pumps. But there’s no rule that says you can’t wear your shirt with your shorts and sneakers. Try it!
