There have been numerous reports of an exorbitant amount of money has been spent in making Katrina Kaif‘s luscious locks red for her upcoming movie Fitoor. Apparently it took Rs. 55 lacs to maintain the colour of Katrina’s hair and that the actress would travel to London frequently to get those roots coloured. But in an interview to India Today, Katrina dismissed these rumours. Here’s what she had to say –
Of course not. The wonderful thing about being an actor is that people are interested in what you do. But there are also lots of misleading and untrue articles that also come out. And because I am not on any social media platform yet, I don’t have the chance to contradict every rumour. Since you are here, no, that is not true. It would not be fair to the person who did it. The team who worked on my hair, did a great job. It was a great idea put forward by Abhishek. As kind and wonderful that our producers are, I don’t think they are that kind. I don’t think I would have been very nervous had Abhishek not been very confident in supporting me.
Director Abhishek Kapoor too denied this news in a statement to Pinkvilla –
I can’t help but smile when I read these speculative reports of money spent on Katrina’s hair.. They are outrageous and moot. But what’s important is that Katrina and Tabu both look amazing and in my humble opinion their hair even more so. So let’s compliment the ladies.
So it seems like Sapna Bhavnani didn’t have to rant about Katrina’s hair after all.
