Karisma Kapoor and estranged husband Sunjay Kapur‘s divorce and custody battle has taken a new turn. The actress has now filed a dowry harassment case against Sunjay and his mother, Rani, who holds the family finances. Karisma has accused the Kapurs for mentally harassing her and she has also opposed Sunjay’s application for the interim custody of their children. The Khar police registered an FIR (no 98/16) under the dowry section — 498 (A): husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty — and Section 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code against her husband. Sunjay and his mother are yet to respond to these allegations.
