It was a long wait before Namrata Joshipura‘s show (presented by Maybelline New York) last night on day 4 at Amazon India Fashion Week. But as soon as we sat down, the music sent a bolt of energy right through all of us. The runway was all set up, but it wasn’t until the lights came on that we were privy to the full effect of Namrata’s contraption. King Kunta by Kendrick Lamar burst through the speakers and the first few models walked down the ramp looking fierce AF!
Glimmering fringe, embellishments and sexy as hell silhouettes – all Namrata’s signatures were pushed to another extreme and we were hooked! Between sheer panels, bodysuits, glamorous dresses, jumpsuits and tops – it was hard to pick just one favourite.
And it wasn’t just the clothes. The models sported gorgeous deep hued, double shaded pouts – Maybelline’s new Lip Gradation, with a smokey eye and slicked back hair. Here’s what Elton Fernandez had to say about the look,
The look was all about the city girl from New York who recognizes exactly what she wants and knows how to ‘Make It Happen’. The unique elements of the look were the fierce eyes and the lips which stood out throughout the show. Athiya wore Color Sensational Lip Gradation in Red 2 mixed with Super Black Kajal on her lips. The eyes were given a bold look using the Colossal Liner and Super Black Kajal from Maybelline New York.”

The gorgeous jumpsuit by Namrata Joshipura made me feel young, edgy and very stylish, while the make-up look created by Elton was something I am now a fan of!
As it turned out, the full show was most definitely worth the wait!
