So you will not BELIEVE how I spent last weekend (and this is no April fools joke!). I was holidaying in Dubai, for Avicii‘s LAST concert and an utterly AWESOME weekend with some of my favourite friends!

BTW, in case you’re inspired by this awesome list of things to do in Dubai, feel free to repeat my itinerary next month, when Armin Van Buuren plays a concert there. May 20th, 2016, save the date stat! (and remember to top up your mobile data: 200AED (₹ 3,600) gets you a cool 5GB right away.)

Ok! Check out my weekend shenanigans with my friends: stylist extraordinaire Arshiya Eappen aka Arshionista and my party soulmate, the King of Clubs Rij Eappen! Jealous much? 😛

Thursday, March 31st, 2:00pm – Wah Taj!

Checked in to the new Taj Dubai on Burj Khalifa Blvd, where I was truly delighted by the spacious room and insane view…

And how about those cupcakes?!

The Taj butlers btw were the sweetest I have ever met. They brought me customised gifts every day starting with those cupcakes and a little keepsake memory card of my trip! <3

3:00pm – Did somebody say “Room Service”?

I don’t know about you but I’m a sucker for room service and this burger HAD to be ordered for obvious reasons. #WagyuYesIDo

After a long skype interview and short nap (ok I lie, no nap, I was on Instagram the whole time) it was time for my styling date with Arshiya at The Dubai Mall.

6:00pm – Shop till you drop!

She had already picked out a few favourites so all I had to do was try them on! (Of course I ended up shopping up a storm as well. Malini + Mall = credit card khali.)

Fave purchase: this blinged out tee from Stradivarius. #HotLips

That night it was early to bed to conserve energy for a monster Friday which would start with brunch and end with Avicii! So many things to do, such little time! Are you ready for this?!

Friday, April 1st, 9:00am – Cover me happy!

I woke up to this awesome cover story in the Khaleej Times Weekend Edition by Sujata Assomull, all about MissMalini’s expansion to Dubai, yay! #tothemoon 🙂

12:00pm – Start early, party late!

Meet the babes who brunch!

Ootd: Paule Ka shift dress from The Dubai Mall, with a contrasting bag in black & yellow (oh god now that song is playing in my head #blackandyellowblackandyellow LOL).

Brunch at Hotel Vida’s Urban Picnic was quite lovely (even in the rain!). Especially because of the charming “picnic” experience. Everybody gets a picnic basket and gets to pick the things they want off the buffet and bar!

That’s followed by a meat eater’s delight, a la carte menu that had food coma written all over it!

Yummy!

5:00pm – Costume Change!

#Ootn: shorts, top and jewelry from Stradivarius from The Dubai Mall.

Plus a big shout out to the lovely girls from BBlunt (Deepti Aggarwal) and Make It Up (Riddhi Kothari) for giving me that #IWakeUpLikeThis feeling haha.

7:00pm – Avicii Pre-game!

Our next stop was At.mosphere at the Burj Khalifa, 122 floors above ground (and no the elevator NEVER conks!)

It was so good to see and catch up with my old radio pal Tarana Raja again too! Plus the new friends I made at brunch Sandeep & Bhavna Puri who are oodles of fun. Everything’s better with friends, isn’t it? 🙂

(And if you’re wondering about my costume change, it’s because we realised it was probably inappropriate to wear shorts and sneakers to a fancy place like At.mosphere so I packed my kicks and put on a dress. Besides that just gave me another outfit to pose in, because why not?!)

PS. I love that the bartenders at At.mosphere just ask you what spirit you like and make you a signature cocktail they think you’ll enjoy. They got mine bang on every time! Also, are those hashtags I see on the carpet?!

9:00pm – Concert Time!

(Can you believe btw that we had done ALL these things and the concert hadn’t even STARTED yet?! #Amazing)

We finally got to The World Trade Centre totally psyched for Avicii – as you can probably tell 🙂

And here’s some LIVE Facebook LOVE!

Sing it with me! (Told you I’d Instagram all my faves.)

My peeps and I also had a hilarious amount of fun at our VIP table (*ahem*) doing this new pose strategy I taught them. (Remind me to make an Instavideo about it later!)

This btw is the King of Clubs and my party soulmate. If you wanna know what’s up and where the party’s at in Bombay, London or Dubai (and soon across the world) follow him NOW @kingofclubsworld!

And yup, he dances like THIS.

So Avicii spun till 3:00am and we hit the sack shortly after. Epic, epic night! But the weekend wasn’t over yet! Btw, Dubai basically looks like a giant lit-up Christmas tree all year round! And chances are you’ll spend a lot of time on Sheikh Zayed Road, so enjoy the view!

Saturday, April 2nd, 10:00am – Spaaaaah!

Take my word for it, one of the BEST things you can do for yourself after a legendary night out (especially if you plan to rinse and repeat) is to have breakfast in bed and then hit the spa. Jiva spa at the Taj Dubai was absolutely tranquil and rejuvenating.

I did absolutely NOTHING for most of the afternoon (just how I like it on vacay!) and then got ready for My Fabulous Dubai Weekend Part II!

2:00pm – Cupful of surprises 🙂

Around this time the butler crew showed up again, this time with an adorable customised mug for me! How cute are they?!

4:30pm – Hair-tastic

I kid you not, I got pampered rotten this weekend. Besides errybody knows you feel extra fabulous when you get your “hair did”! Gracias BBlunt 🙂

6:00pm – Luxury pick up.

#Ootn Jumpsuit and jewelry from Iconic at The Dubai Mall. In fact Arshiya and I loved this jumpsuit so much we both bought one each right away! (Only 100AED! Less than 2000).

North Tours lets you pick your luxury vehicle to coast around town and my surprise ride was this super sexy Bentley. See, it goes with my outfit and everything!

If you fancy some impulse shopping on your way to dinner, definitely check out Box Park!

8:00pm – Life’s a beach…

Nikki Beach to be precise! This spot opened up just about 3 weeks before I got there and it is GORGEOUS!

I mean COME ON! Who wouldn’t want to spend ALL day here right?

To mix it up a little we decided to have a (rather dignified) delightful sit down dinner which consisted of the most delectable sea food! #SushiForTheWin

Drool much?!

Nikki Beach

In fact we spent the evening with the newly-weds Asif & Laura 🙂

Psst! I think I’m getting to the King of Clubs, I caught him being ME at Nikki Beach and Instagramming everything in sight *cue evil laughter* mwahahahaha!

And then something totally out of character happened! I couldn’t finish my drink(s) and decided to call it even though we were scheduled to hit up Zero Gravity a hot club in town. I guess I’ll have to save that one for next time eh?

As you can see Dubai has an endless choice of things to do for a super fun weekend getaway. Now all you have to do is decide who you’re taking with you! Hopefully I’ll catch you at the AVB concert next month. Psst! It’s my birthday week May 20th – 26th so I’m thinking of celebrating it in Dubai! Waddya think?! Stay tuned… xoxo
