According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Akshay Kumar was detained at London’s Heathrow Airport for over an hour and a half for travelling without a valid visa.
He was made to sit in a general holding area for detained passengers when he arrived in London to shoot his much anticipated film Rustom. Apparently, a special visa stamp is mandatory if you visit the UK for a film shoot, and Akki did not have that at the time. Reportedly, Akshay was hounded by some fans while waiting too, but when he requested to be put in a private area, he was told there isn’t a designated space for that.
Akshay however denied the incident saying he had a valid visa and was out of the airport quickly.
