But Entertainment Weekly has reported that at the premiere, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss admitted that one person will get to watch a few episodes before everyone gets to watch it on HBO. That person is the President of the United States – Barack Obama! Here’s what Dan Weiss said about the time they’ve felt ‘they’ve totally made it’ –
I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an ‘ah-ha’ moment. That was a very strange moment.
David concurred –
Yes, he’s the leader of the free world. When the commander-in-chief says, ‘I want to see advanced episodes,’ what are you gonna do?
