Raiding my mother’s closet is my favourite pass time. After years of teaching her how to use technology, I think I’m entitled to this much, right? From saris, gowns, jewellery, shoes and accessories, I think I have quite the collection. One thing I looked out for, but didn’t really find, was a pair of those perfect mom jeans. They’re typically high-waisted and quite roomy around the thighs. I was quite bummed out when I saw that all her “mom” jeans were replaced with either high-waist, flared denims or tailored trousers. So I did the next best thing. I went out and bought them.

The great part about them is that they supremely comfortable, and in this weather, it’s a blessing that they don’t stick to you like second skin (bye bye skinny jeans). Just fold up the hems and try not to be neat about it.

They’re fabulous for your daily errands and paired with a formal top, you could wear them out at night too – yes, they’re super trendy.

So you have two options, pray to God your mom hasn’t chucked hers or just go out and buy them. Either way, it’s a style you’ve got to try.
