Of all the things I liked about Lakmé’s new foundation launch, the two I liked most are in the name itself – weightless and mousse. When it comes to foundation, I’m one of those girls who uses some only when I absolutely need to. Think a major wedding or an important shoot. It generally makes me feel like there’s something on my face all day long and tbh, it’s quite uncomfortable. Enter Lakmé’s 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation. The colour that matched my skin tone was Rose Honey and the tube itself was so lightweight, it felt like nothing was inside (so you can carry it when you think you might need a touch-up).

I squeezed a pint-sized drop out (which is as much as I would use my other foundation), and applied it in spots to my face. Since the foundation is a mousse, you’ll need more than just a little drop for it to cover your full face.

I used my foundation brush to spread it evenly on my face and then layered on the rest of my makeup. It was only once I was done that I realised I actually had foundation on my face, because it really did feel like nothing. It covered my blemishes and it has been on me since 8:45 this morning, and it’s still going strong.

It didn’t get oily, sticky and it didn’t fade away. Added bonus? – It even smells nice.

Stay tuned, I’m going to be showing you how it worked for me, from 9am to 5pm and I think you’re going to like it too!
