Bollywood and TV heartthrob Ruslaan Mumtaz broke many hearts when he tied the knot with his sweetheart Nirali Mehta in 2014. After dating each other for quite some time, the lovebirds decided to take the plunge and eternalize their bond. But guess what? Marriage wasn’t always on the cards for this young duo. Ruslaan, who has a crazy female fan following, never pegged himself to be someone who’d settle down. And then… True love happened.
Ruslaan shares his moment of realization:
We were seeing each other but it was at the initial stage. She was never the kind of girl who asks, ‘Do you love me?’ or ‘When will we get married?’ She never asked for commitment and I never happened to think about it. In fact, at that point in time, I used to think that I’d never get married and stay bachelor like Salman Khan forever. Plus, Nirali and I were more like friends. Then one fine day, she came up to me and informed that her parents wanted her to meet a guy for arranged marriage. And I was like, ‘Shit! I can’t let her go!’ That’s when I realized that she was the one and I told her that I loved her.
Nirali shares her special moment:
We had been together for almost 5 years but I never had the courage to tell my parents about him. He is Muslim and an actor. So I didn’t know how my parents would react. But then, one day he decided to come home and meet them. I was quite apprehensive and didn’t know how things would go. However, the way he spoke to my parents and charmed them, the way he handled the situation… It all made me realize that he was special. My family agreed within a few minutes.
So sweet, na? After confessing their love to each other and walking down the isle, Ruslaan and Nirali started an everlasting journey together. In order to make the most out of their togetherness, they started traveling and making memories with each other. And it was during one such trip when Ruslaan experienced his sweet, simple and extremely cherishable ‘Day Of Love’. He recollects:
During one of our trips, Nirali fell very ill. And it was very painful for me to see her like that. But when I woke up the next morning, she had freshened up and was ready to start the day. I was absolutely awed by her at that moment. She made sure that we didn’t alter our itinerary even a bit and continued our trip exactly how we had planned it. Seeing the world with me and making new memories in my company mattered much more to her than her health. That was my moment of love. I feel there is nothing more precious and eternal than Platinum to express my love for her.
