So this random French guy called Phillipe Dumas is social media’s latest sensation. Seven months ago, he asked Imgur users if they thought he had it in him to become a model. He asked: “Retired but not out, giving a last go to my lifelong dream of becoming a model, do I have it in me?” The good people of the internet encouraged him and lo and behold, he just began a new career in modeling.
According to a report by The Huffington Post, Philippe has been signed on with six agencies since his post and has done various shoots for menswear campaigns. In an interview to Style Aria, he said:
We have to be very careful when getting to an older age, not to be overwhelmed by the transformation happening to the body. (To) my great surprise most of the time they compliment my look and ask for a selfie with me. Finally, I keep thinking that getting older is not such a bad thing.
