Ratan Rajput, who plays Santoshi in &TV’s Santoshi Maa is quitting the show. In a statement, she said:
Every character has its own time span in a story and mine may come to an end. It’s sad if I have to leave such a wonderful show. My character is certainly dying. But if she comes back to life, that remains to be seen.
Strangely enough, Sayantani Ghosh, who plays Devi Paulomi is also quitting the show. Erm, what?
I’m told all this is happening rather amicably and that there’s no bad blood between the actors and the makers of the show. We wonder how the show’s storyline will unfold with these two major characters leaving.
