Break-up rumours of Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra have been doing the rounds since a while now. While some reports say that Sidharth leaving for Miami a week ahead of his original schedule was a sign that all’s not well, some alleged that it was her decision to do a movie opposite Varun Dhawan which lead to Sidharth getting mad at her. Another source claims that Alia didn’t want him to work with Shraddha Kapoor which added to the tension between the two. In a statement to DNA, here’s what Alia said about the whole thing –
Oh God! So that’s how this whole thing about me being upset with Shraddha started? Let me just say this loud and clear — I am single and Sid is a supportive and extremely important friend in my life and will always be that. As a friend, rather than asking him not to do films with any actress, I keep telling Sid to work with every person because I think he has all the charm, talent and sexiness in the world and the potential to become the biggest superstar of this country! Never in my life, will we ever tell each other what we should or should not do.
