I think by now everyone knows what Salman Khan has said. While social media has mostly bashed the actor for making such an insensitive remark (except his fans of course), Bollywood has either been quiet or the likes of Subhash Ghai have referred to him as a child. Barring a few women like Kangana Ranaut, Sona Mohapatra and Sapna Bhavnani, no one from the industry has voiced their opinion about his unfortunate statement. Anurag Kashyap though, has never really been the one to keep shut if asked something important, so in a statement to a TV channel, here’s what the director said –
Why are we making it out his individual responsibility? It is very unfortunate that he made an analogy like that, it is very thoughtless of him, in a way daft of him. I am sure he will be regretting it and will apologize for it. If he really cares, he should apologize for it.
Salman was hounded by the media when he reached Mumbai airport last night, but he chose to ignore the questions and head to the flight which is taking him to the IIFA Awards in Spain.
