We have come to expect nothing but sartorial perfection from Fawad Khan. Every. Single. Time. And more often than not, he delivers and then some, like he has at Madrid on Friday night for the IIFA Rocks event.
He went for an eye-catching jacquard dinner jacket from Pakistani menswear label Republic by Omar Farooq, which he paired with slim black trousers, patent oxfords, a cummerbund, a crisp white pocket square and a bow-tie — and bugger me, what a rakishly debonair picture he made!
I love that he tempered the showiness of the checked fabric of the dinner jacket by keeping the rest of the outfit as simple as possible. So guys, here’s an important sartorial lesson for you: if your jacket is shouting, make sure the rest of your outfit is whispering.
Just wish he didn’t opt for that wing-collar shirt – or else, this look would have gotten a 10 out of 10 from me. I have it in good authority that Fawad’s styling himself in Madrid, so this outing becomes all the more impressive to me.
