Fendi had a big reason to celebrate yesterday. The brand turned the ripe old age of 90 and launched their newest collection to celebrate this massive milestone. The collection titled Legends & Fairytales was showcased at the world-famous 254-year- old Trevi Fountain in Rome. The site is not only a landmark but one of the most-visited places in Rome and considering the iconicity of the location it was a perfect fit for the brand to showcase there. Fendi did a superb job of tying history and modernity together considering they used social media to stream the entire fashion show for the world and chose a historically significant location to host it.
Against the backdrop of this most famous fountain in the world, Fendi’s beautiful creations came to life. Channeling everything about legends and fairytales, they used techniques like handmade appliqué, intricate embroidery and a dreamy colour palette to bring the fantasy to life.
