Nargis Fakhri‘s sudden disappearance had created quite a stir. The actress was unable to promote her movie Housefull 3 as she had rushed back to the USA. Rumours of a break-up with Uday Chopra started doing the rounds but actually, Nargis was battling a life threatening medical condition. In an interview to DNA, she revealed that she had arsenic and lead poisoning.
She elaborated that it could happen in many ways — in the water we consume or use, in food, due to rusted lead pipes in an old building etc. The doctors told her that the level was very high so Nargis decided to go the natural way and cured herself with the help of naturopathy. Nargis’s mother had also taken the help of Ayurveda when she was suffering from cancer. The doctors wanted to cut her uterus, but she took herbs and within six months the fibroids were gone.
