Most of Team MissMalini‘s everyday references come out of Hum Saath Saath Hai, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… you get the drift? Like, is it even a Sunday if one of these movies is not playing on TV? So imagine my joy when one of my favourite friends in the world (Hi, Sanika!) told me this mind blowing fact from Hum Saath Saath Hain.
Did you ever notice that all the bahus in the film were raised by single fathers? That’s right – Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Karisma Kapoor didn’t have a mom.
Makes you wonder if the great Sooraj Barjatya was trying to tell us something, doesn’t it? And in the end, everyone gets a mother in the form of the mother-in-law 101, Reema Lagoo.
Interestingly, Mohnish Behl‘s character’s birth mother had died in the film either. That was the crux of all the drama.
