Vintage always wins IMHO. And the most beautiful and multi-talented (TV presenter, author, actor, model…) Padma Lakshmi backed me up with the awesome sauce outfit she wore yesterday. First of all, its all-black so it’s already winning. But there’s so much more awesomeness to the outfit that we almost forgot to mention that it was all-black. Moving from head to toe, your eyes catch the oversized “celebrity” sunnies first and move down to the fitted J.W. Anderson crop top, down to the long skirt from Plein Sud Par Fayçal Amor. Now, we have to stop here for a second and exclaim that this sexy, thigh-high slit skirt is….20 years old! TWO-ZERO. She bought it during her modelling days in Paris and boy, does it still look good or what?

The cherry on the top are the knee-high custom-made boots made for her by Ennio and Carlo Capasa of the Italian Fashion House, Costume National, though sadly not anymore. They stepped down 30 years after founding the fashion brand, which is now owned by Japanese company Sequedge. So, I guess that makes Padma’s boots collector’s items too, huh?

And if that was not enough style and class for you…she carried a beautiful Hermes Birkin. I think I just died and went to style heaven.
