We are really looking forward to Rhea Kapoor‘s next production, Veere Di Wedding, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. The film is reportedly based on four female protagonists and their individual love lives, with the most exciting aspect of the film being Kareena playing her pregnant self.
Lately, however, the film seems to be going through a lot of trouble. Initially, Sonam and Rhea were not receiving sufficient funds for the movie and later there were reports of Balaji films, one of the co-producers, backing out of the project. Now, Sonam reveals that they are not able to get a pregnancy insurance for Bebo, which is a mandatory requirement before the shooting starts. In an interview with Femina, she spoke about the delay:
We couldn’t get insurance for Kareena. India is the only country in the world that doesn’t insure pregnant women. We start taping in April and the film follows four girls who are at different stages of their love lives.
With that stellar cast to boast and an interesting plot, we hope the film rolls soon enough.
