One of TV’s most favourite bahus, Hina Khan will finally bid adieu to her character, Akshara Singhania in Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The audience has watched her progress from a simple girl to being a wife and facing numerous ups and downs in her married life to being a mother of 2 grown up children. After a lot of speculations around Akshara not carrying the story forward, the actress has finally broken her silence and spoke to an online entertainment portal, saying:
Yes, I am quitting the show this month. With a heavy heart, my journey in Yeh Rishta has come to an end. Of course, I know people are emotionally attached but everything has a saturation point. I want to progress in my life. Many times I have said I am never going to part from this show but Rajan (Shahi) Sir has taught me that never say never.
