These two seems to have flown under the radar, what with all the attention on Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan & the Anruag Kashyap brigade. But rep they did the Hindi-e film industry at the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival, that too by not doing half-badly sartorial-wise 😉
They seemed to have turned to Anita Dongre to get them through ‒ and it was a bit of a hit-and-miss, I’m afraid. Clad in AD Man tuxedos these two were spotted at the red carpet of Ken Loach’s The Angel’s Share. Those “classic handcrafted” tuxedos, erm, were not the finest piece of work. The fit is kinda off, the fabric looks anything but luxurious, and from the half-length photo of Sanjay Suri, I’ve a feeling the trouser length is wrong too. And wingtip collars??? Aaarrgghh. Guys, never ever opt for wingtips when sporting a bow-tie ‒ leave it to the waiters!
They did fare much better at the Incredible India!-NFDC party on Day 5 of Cannes, though 🙂
Sanjay Suri looked oh-so-dapper in a linen jodhpuri suit!
While Onir looked good too in black sherwani with fine resham zardozi embroidery on the collar and the buttons.
Yeah, I looooved both the outfits, for this bash.
