As you’ve probably heard, NASA’s Kepler spacecraft has spotted what they’re calling Earth’s “bigger, older cousin” – the first planet of similar size to Earth that has been found in the habitable zone in the constellation Cygnus. The planet is called Kepler-452b and is around 1400 light years from Earth. It’s all pretty fascinating, which is why many people have been tweeting about it – including Sonakshi Sinha. She, however, probably didn’t get the response she expected!
Sonakshi tweeted saying:
Yay! We found another planet just like ours… Earth 2.0! I just hope now we don’t ruin it just like we did ours…

She is, obviously, not being literal and is trying to make the point that we need to pay more attention to saving our planet. But it seems like no one got that, because she got quite a few weird tweets in response:
@sonakshisinha you just went @aliaa08 — Hiten Sangani (@InfamousHiten) July 24, 2015
@deanoosaur clearly u’ve already failed the test for taking the statement literally! Underlying meaning = #saveourplanet

@sonakshisinha and it is just 14000 light years away hehehe… — Saurav Singh (@SaSaurav) July 24, 2015

Way to miss the point, yes? Sonakshi, it seems, mostly ignored the tweets, but eventually tweeted saying:
Yeah, like i expect humanity to reach there by 1 pm tomorrow ? https://t.co/FNnZSOha1s
