India beating contemporaries (that’s code for arch rivals) like Katrina Kaif, Bipasha Basu and even Kareena watch-that-ego Kapoor (who made it quite clear when she scoffed at doing the 5 diva dance for the Star Screen Awards with the rest of the girls that she felt far superior to “these newcomers” and those “not anywhere near her level.”)
Deepika now plans to launch her own website to really “connect” with her fans online. Although she may need to grow up a notch considering her response to the question “have you checked your videos on you tube?” was a macabre (and slightly ditsy “I am aware of you tube but am quite scared to check my videos on the site. I think it’s a scare for us actors to see random videos of ourselves.” (Great Marilyn Monroe impression though.)
But it looks like Lara Dutta beat her to it! I’m sorry Lara I don’t mean to rag on you so much but I’m hoping you’re one of those celebrities who (delightfully) doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
In other Lara news (for some reason its been popping up all over the place today) full credit to her for doing a dignified walk out when Dino Morea’s ex girlfriend Nandita Mahtani decided to get flirty and sit on his lap at a party hosted by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan at their home, Mannat. I’d be pissed too.
