Actress Amrita Arora wed longtime boyfriend Shakeel Ladak in a lavish Catholic wedding at the Olive, Mumbai earlier this week. They even had a sangeet choreographed by Bollywood choreographer Farah Khan and hosted by Alvira Agnihotri (Salman Khan’s sister).
Amrita was dressed in an off-white vintage wedding gown designed by fashion designer Ashley Rebello, the actress will have her formal Nikaah today and then the couple will then proceed on their honeymoon.
The wedding was attended by Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Ness Wadia, Urmila Matondkar, Ritesh Deshmukh, Farhan Akhtar, Gul Panag, Karishma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Kim Sharma, Amrita Arora, Shakeel Ladak, Raveena Tandon, Malaika Arora Khan, Salman Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Aditi Govitrikar, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Suzanne Roshan Khan, Dino Morea, Neelam Kothari, Alvira Khan, Karan Johar, Sajid Khan and Arbaaz Khan. (Shah Rukh Khan, for obvious reasons, didn’t show up Salman Khan was there) but Gauri Khan more than made up for his absence. Amrita’s Kambakht Ishq co-star Akshay Kumar and his wife Twinkle were also missing in action.
Amrita’s bridesmaid and best friend Kareena Kapoor was the first to come and the last to leave. A little birdie tells me Saif was seen holding Kareena very close as if to say ‘Marry me right here, right now, Bebo’. Apparently Wardha and Karishma Kapoor almost didn’t make it to the wedding as the zippers of both their gowns came undone just as they were about to leave home. Fortunately, fresh zips and damage control allowed them to make it, unfortunately they missed they actual wedding.
