The press release is here! Indigo celebrated a decade of achievement last Sunday as you know… The celebration was part of a by-invitation-only lavish Sunday Brunch at Indigo, which was attended by the crème de la crème of Mumbai.
The celebrations saw Indigo’s patrons, Bollywood biggies, fashion designers, models and socialites having a blast. What made the event even more special was the fact that many patrons (some of whom no longer live in Mumbai) flew down from across the country to celebrate this milestone.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rahul Akerkar, Managing Director, deGustibus Hospitality Pvt. Ltd, said “Indigo opened its doors to the public in April 1999 as a food-centric, uncompromising, fine-dining establishment in the heart of Bombay, Colaba district. The vision for Indigo from day one was to embrace three basic principles of excellent food, warm hospitality and superior levels of service. Our sole aim was to give Indian’s and food-lovers all over the world a chance to experience the best of what modern India has to offer. Over the years, we have evolved as the seasons change and the creative fare has been balanced and augmented by one of the best wine lists in India with an exemplary service team.”

Ltd added, “Indigo explored a regeneration of Indian flavor; taking from its past but giving it a contemporary twist. Very few realized at the time, that the birth of our restaurant would set in motion a revolution and establish a benchmark in fine-dining in India. We have encouraged and fostered the growth of experiential Euro-Asian cuisine and superlative hospitality. Indigo was a labor of love for Rahul and me. Today, ten years later, we are very proud to be celebrating our 10th anniversary as pioneers of the fine-dining boutique experience.”
