Little Miss Attitude Jiah Khan has been dropped from yet another project and replaced by Sonal Chauhan. The actress had been penciled in for Owais Husain’s (son of celebrated artist M. F. Husain) directorial debut. But now that the film has hit the floors, its done so with Sonal Chauhan in the lead. A source reveals that, “Owais had signed Jiah along with Anurag Sinha, who featured in Subhash Ghai’s Black and White but just before the shoot, the director roped in Sonal instead.” Owais glossed over the replacement and focused on the film saying,  My film has Punjab as its backdrop. I have not titled the project but people are referring to it as Punjab 69. I don’t know how this name came into existence!” On being the second choice, Sonal’s spokesperson says, “As far as we know, she was the first and final choice.”

I just saw Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion” (and Priyanka Chopra’s comment (as the misguided diva) comes to mind;  “It’s not ego, it’s attitude baby!”)

The gossip is that Jiah was previously removed from the Ken Ghosh musical “Star” with Shahid Kapoor at Shahid’s request because she came on a little too friendly soon after they were introduced on the sets and wanted to “hang out” all the time. (I find this a little hard to believe; not that she was being cunningly friendly but that Shahid Kapoor would ever say that out loud!)

You probably also know that Kangna Ranaut and Jiah Khan are never going to be BFFs. Kangana was dropped in favour of Jiah from Aamir Khan’s “Ghajini” because Kangana (in her obvious excitement, and broken English) leaked the news about bagging the role before a formal announcement was made, which I’m told, pissed off Aamir. (Again, when it comes to the calculated Khan I doubt that a relatively small fry could have upset such a big fish, but you never know.)
