So I’ve been meaning to tell you (but then my life got so hectic) that everyday I find myself saying how much I love the Internet. Whether its because Imran Khan’s pirate radio show happened all because of a random tweet on Twitter, or I hit a record 20,000 personal pictures on Facebook (hell ya!), or because I just booked tickets for the 7:35pm show of “Wake Up Sid” at PVR, Phoenix online. The thing is we keep saying how small the world is, but in fact the whole world is now available on the Internet, and its huge!
So imagine my delight when my friend Kruti Patel Goyal (half of my favorite Harvard brainiac/super-cool nomad couple Kruti & Vipin Goyal currently on a travel adventure around the world) suggested me as a guest blogger for MTV Iggy a few months ago! (Iggy is a global pop culture and music network for anyone who has ever felt like they are not part of any one culture, this is the place that acknowledges that feeling and lets you filter through who and what you identify with… right now.) Its funny but all my Bollywood blogs get the most traffic and currently the GQ eye-candy has made it to the most popular posts!
My favorite part of the whole experience though has been making the virtual acquaintance of Samantha Edussuriya and Adriane Quinlan who manage the show and blog up a storm on all that’s hip across the hemisphere. (Sam also gave me the best introduction ever on Iggy which totally makes me love my life!) Its fascinating that half -way across the world are two girls who share my sense of humor, love music, pop-culture, pseudo-celebrity gossip and can rip Oprah’s head off when she deserves it. My kinda girls.
