(My apologies for the plagiarism Prince) but last night I thought of Velocity (remember Velocity?! And that retro room inside where we’ve all danced our 30-year-old hearts out to dancing queen time after time?!) Well Tardeo just got a much-needed new night spot. Not so much a club, Purple Rain is pitched as a trendy kitchen-lounge at SoBo Central (but first up everybody who hates that name “SoBo” as much as I do please stand up.)
(Ok you can sit down now.) Wednesday’s launch party saw a motley crew of the not-so-famous, rich & restless (and somewhat oddly dressed, surprisingly nobody wore purple!) including my fav Ashish Raheja (lol I promise to get over this by next year, consider it my new year’s resolution), Vijay Kalantri, Esther & Raju Daswani, Remu & Naaz Zaveri, Kishan Mulchandani, Brinda Parekh, Sharon Prabhakar and Vinta Nanda bopping to the beats of DJs Ronald & Priyesh (what, no funky DJ names?) I’m told Payal Chopra has done a fab job with the interior design and they play around with the lighting in cool shades of purple. Colorful shots were also doing the rounds, undoubtedly courtesy the shot queen @dazediva 🙂
