I got an email this morning from Surena The Hun with the subject line “Katrina Kaif In Poetry” which I found slightly intriguing and for a moment even thought; oh dear, has Kat started writing poetry? *shudder* but luckily that is not the case 🙂 Having said that however you just have to read this email!
Dear Ms. Malini:
Loved your site!
I have recently heard and read an ode written for Katrina Kaif on youtube. It was called Ode to Katrina Kaif. It was a well crafted poem which contained the energy, fervor and the lyricism that goes with a classical poem. I thought it was a wonderful idea to recite the beauty of a cherished Belle in what is considered a higher art. There was also a companion site mentioned at the end of the video, thefairestmaiden.com , which contained more poems and even prose celebrating the beauty and majesty in poetry and prose. I also think it would also be a splendid idea if an article is written describing the power of lyrical verse and how a beauteous maiden can still inspire sublime poetry.
Thank You,
Oh boy. While I couldn’t bring myself to wax eloquent about the power of lyrical verse (and aside from the fact that I nearly snorted coffee out my nose when I saw this video, the voice over is hilarious) I suppose you do have a point. There is infact a website (with oddly no pictures of her at all) which makes “a humble attempt to celebrate the beauty and the majesty of Katrina Kaif” Romeo eat your heart out.
