I know this may be a little random but I found this picture of my view of Haji Ali and started feeling all nostalgic since I’m finally moving (after 7 years!) I’m going to be a Bandra girl soon and you’ll be reading all about it in the chronicles of the domestically challenged desi girl on my blog, I promise. You know, for as long as I can remember I have always collected memorable quotes from movies. I even started writing a book called “Bartholomew’s Random Thoughts” using those quotes about how people have all sorts of random ideas all the time but rarely say what they’re really thinking out loud, maybe one day I’ll post it here… But for now especially for all my Mumbai peeps, this one’s for you on a rainy day, in Bombay.
“The rain. Sometimes it gives me the blues. When you first came here, I only loved the writer part of Paul Sheldon. Now I know I love the rest of him, too. I know you don’t love me, don’t say you do. You’re beautiful, brilliant, a famous man of the world and I’m… not a movie star type. You’ll never know the fear of losing someone like you if you’re someone like me.”
“I love the rain – it washes memories off the sidewalk of life.”
“The great moments of your life won’t necessarily be the things you do, they’ll also be the things that happen to you. Now, I’m not saying you can’t take action to affect the outcome of your life, you have to take action, and you will. But never forget that on any day, you can step out the front door and your whole life can change forever. You see, the universe has a plan kids, and that plan is always in motion. A butterfly flaps its wings, and it starts to rain . It’s a scary thought but it’s also kind of wonderful. All these little parts of the machine constantly working, making sure that you end up exactly where you’re supposed to be, exactly when you’re supposed to be there. The right place at the right time. You better bring an umbrella. Chuckles the Weather Clown says it’s going to rain.”
“I’m just standin’ in the rain talkin’ to myself.”
