Rafting in Rishikesh

Check it out kids! I went rafting in Rishikesh over Diwali weekend; sans electricity did I mention? Which meant lights out at dusk and absolutely no blogging whatsoever once my BB battery died *sniff* but I enjoyed it none-the-less 🙂 and now I can proudly claim to have “camped”! So thank you Sheetal for convincing me to go on an “adventure” a truly memorable one it was! I loved the crisp morning air, eating by the campfire every night, being endlessly entertained by a delightful 4-year-old named Fay who seriously had the answers to all of life’s important questions (and then some) and of course riding the rapids (and not being the one who fell in! Seriously that’s us on the boat up there struggling with a rapid known as “the golf course” because of its 9 holes and the rescue Kayak-ers took these pix of us while my fabulous raft crew paddled to keep me on board!) Salman Khan should be pleased to hear that she is his # 1 fan and refers to herself as Chulbul Pandey, her current ambition is to come to Mumbai and pay him a visit (one I’m sure he won’t soon forget!) So here you go; my journey in pictures and big fat thank you hug to Pavane, Maya, Tara and Zo for being such wonderful hosts at Outdoor Adventures India where you will find clean-eco friendly living, soft sparkly sand and a whole lotta love.

P.S. So as you can see my tech support lasted about as long as this video (and to be honest I was having too much fun old-school chilling to bother following people around with my Flip!) but I kid you not the water was ice-cold. Which is why Shotgun Sheetal here keeps saying “ouch” 🙂 xoxo
