Congratulations Imran Khan and Avantika Malik! All set to tie the knot and I hear the wedding is pretty high tech; invitations came with a swipe card to keep gatecrashers out of the  venue. The wedding functions are starting Saturday, January 8th with the mehendi followed by a registered marriage on January 10th and then its party time at Avantika’s farmhouse  in Karjat. Kiran Rao confirmed, “There is so much happening at home. Lot of activities – rehearsals for the sangeet functions and preparations for the wedding,”
Psst! All Imran’s leading ladies have been invited to a pre-wedding party he’s hosting at his home, Genelia D’Souza, Deepika Padukone and Kareena Kapoor all plan to attend (in fact Kareena cut short her vacation with Saif Ali Khan and Deepika ended her backpacking tour early just to make it to the party.) Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor will be skipping however, due to work commitments.

Who’s Designing The Wedding Wear?

Designer Varun Bahl, who had designed Avantika’s engagement outfit, is designing Imran’s wedding outfit. Avantika will be wearing Manish Malhotra while her trousseau is being designed by Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra, “We are doing a red  gown for Avantika, it will be for the main ceremony. Besides that we are  also doing her trousseau which will include some interesting party wear  skirts, tops and a few dresses. It is something that she can wear to  all other functions that follow the wedding.”
